 Webinar on activity based Online Learning organised by PUSHPADEEP in collaboration with Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education



On 3 July 2021, the college organised a workshop for teachers on the theme 'Activity Based Online Learning.' The workshop organised in collaboration with Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education(HBCSE), Mumbai was visualised by Principal Dr Mabel Pimenta and coordinated by faculty members Dr Agnes Dcosta and Ms Nikita Rebello. More than 70 teachers from different institutions in Maharashtra benefitted from the session. Resource Person Dr Narendra Deshmukh, Scientific Officer at HBCSE led the participants to discover the nuances of the TPACK Model propogated by Lee Shulman. Sir also emphasized that teachers must be aware of the close connect between content, technology and pedagogy to help students learn collaboratively and in a constructivist manner. The next session by Ms Nikita Rebello Gomes helped participants explore the wonders of virtual reality and hands on learning in the online scenario. She also showed how teachers can create their own 360 degree virtual tours , images with hotspots and simple formative evaluation using H5P tools.



On 10 July 2021 the second day of the workshop, Ms Veda Deshpande oriented the participants to various interesting websites and tools that could be used to enhance critcal thinking. Ms Alisha Andrades demonstrated how to use Wordwall for fun filled interactive evaluation. She also showed how to use Thinglink to have a repository of interactive experiences.
